Festival Media Mediterranea begins on July 26

The 12th edition of the Festival of expressive culture and creative media - Media Mediterranea will be held from July 26 - 31 at several locations: former barracks Karlo Rojc¸ as well as Casoni Vecchi and Punta Christo.

The Festival begins on July 26 at 8 pm with the opening of the exhibition "Muzil today" and presentation of the volume "City of post capitalism" in Casoni Vecchi. This will be followed by a concert of experimental music, which will be held the following day, too. The program of the first two festival days will be in Casoni Vecchi, and on the third day it all moves to Karlo Rojc.  The program of the fourth festival day in Karlo Rojc includes demo band concerts and excellent music selected by famous DJs.

The location for the last festival day is Punta Christo where a great party is expected for the closing of the festival, with plenty of good music and fun.

On the two stages, S.A.R.S., SHAZALAKAZOO and Live Act perform live in concert, also four DJs will make sure that there's plenty of great music that night.

Twelve years ago when Festival Media Mediterranea started, it was the first festival for the young in Istria. What makes it specific today is the combination of urban youth culture, alternative, most of all electronic music, new technologies and their use for creative purposes. By organizing the festival at such locations the organizers are trying to revitalize abandoned military facilities.
