Pula's marketplace - the perfect place to sense the pulsing of city life

The market building was reconstructed in 1997, so that the indoor area meets all the requirements of modern-day shopping. On an area of over thousand square meters of the market building there are about sixty shops, butcher shops, cafés and of course fish market. The fish market abounds in excellent seafood delicacies - freshly caught fish and shellfish...

Pula's central market also has its outdoor part, where fruit and vegetables are sold. You can buy flowers there, as well as merchandise that is found at all European markets.

But, Pula's marketplace is surely a sight to visit, if only for its cafés where you can have a delicious cup of coffee. Visiting the so-called "belly of the city" is a great way to sense the pulsing of city life. The marketplace is open from 7 am to 1 pm, and is located at Narodni trg bb.
