Days of Antiquity bring a spirit of ancient times

This year's seventh edition of the Days of Antiquity will be held from May 15th - 18th in the Roman Forum and Arena. This event, which is constantly gaining in quality, this year brings a number of interesting and attractive programs. If you have time or happen to be on vacation in Pula at that time, don't miss this event in the city center - you will surely feel the spirit of ancient times.

This event, organized by the Tourism Office of the City of Pula, starts Thursday, May 15th at 7 pm in the Forum, whereas the program for Friday includes street theater. To make the Forum really come alive, the organizer has provided a true ancient inn that will be set at this traditional meeting place where you can taste ancient dishes or look at ancient crafts. There will also be producers of ancient jewelry coming from Italy, and dancers presenting ancient dances. Ancient hairstyles and Roman togas will be displayed in the Forum, and there's also fun for children at the so-called children's stand. Ancient soccer will be demonstrated by the club Delmati, a section of the Sports association from Sinj. They are well known for playing the ancient version of the most popular Croatian sport.

And from Budapest there are gladiators from Collegium Gladiatorum arriving just for this occasion, as well as the already traditional gladiators from Pula's Association FER. Gladiator fights will be held in the Arena on Friday at 7 pm. Only an hour later the street theater starts in the Forum. You can find more information about the Days of Antiquity on these pages.
