Transit through Slovenia

Dear visitors of Istria,

from September 5th, all passengers in transit through the Republic of Slovenia must meet RVT conditions: recovered/vaccinated/tested. This means that in order to enter, ie. transit through Slovenia, as well as a valid travel document, you must also have one of the following three certificates:
• that you have recovered from Covid-19
• or that you have been vaccinated
• or that you have a negative test.

Exemption from RVT conditions still applies to persons under the age of 15, to land and real estate owners in the border area, to cross-border migrant workers and to employees working in international transport.

Additional document proving the purpose and destination of your journey is applicable to non-EU/EEA residents only.

Prior permits to enter and transit through Slovenia are not issued. The fulfilment of conditions for crossing the border (entry to and transit through Slovenia) is checked at the border crossing point during border control on the day of crossing the border.
