Pula exceeds 2 million overnight stays

This year again, the City of Pula breaks the records in the number of overnight stays and tourist arrivals. On September 13, Pula reached 2 million overnight stays, three weeks earlier than in 2017. Also, until yesterday a rise of 7% in visitor numbers was recorded compared to last year, as well as a rise of 6% in overnight stays. For the eighth year in a row, Pula records a significant increase in overnight stays, which proves that Pula has been recognized as an important tourist destination.  The comparison in the number of overnight stays in 2011 (1,273,117 overnight stays) with overnight stays realized by September 13, 2018 reveals that the number of overnight stays has increased by almost 729,000  or 57% even before the end of the year.

Pula attracts visitors from everywhere with over 1000 different events. Surely, new products (Museum of olive oil, Memo museum, Virtual sightseeing tour, Arena Mysterium sightseeing game, Pula SightRun- discovering Pula running, etc.) and the existing offer (Arena, Aquarium, Historical and Maritime Museum of Istria, Sacred Hearts, many galleries, Underwater park Verudela, etc.) make Pula an even more attractive destination, which in addition to “sun and sea” offers a great number of cultural, entertainment and sports events.
